Reading your story reminded me of watching your run and seeing your ski sink, I was wondering if you were going to get it back and was impressed at how you really did not want to go back in without your ski. We rode all three days also but being ametuers saturday was hairy! I went back on Halloween for the weekend, the weather was really rough and the waves were huge. I got caught pretty far out and rolled. Reading about you getting slammed by the waves and loosing your boat is exactly how I felt, I swear I breathed in that aireted water just to get me by. Guess what, my boat sank also but I did get back, gotta love surf riding! Anyway, I loved the story and wish you luck if you're going to make it to this years event.
