Two weeks after my race victories in Parker. I was invited to race at an Indoor Jet Ski race at the South Point Arena in Las Vegas, NV. I had some mechanical issues with the ski which caused me to not finish twice in both motos, but the experience was unreal! My friend Brian Bowen stuck his go pro camera on my handlebars to film my first moto, which was pretty exciting until I took on water one buoy away from the finish line to claim 2nd place.
Soon after the Adidas commercial, I was cast by Larry Rippenkroeger to work with coordinator Clay Cullen on the Dreamworks motion picture “I Am Number Four”. I was flown out to Islamorada, Fl and worked with the cast and crew of the film to film the opening scene of the movie. I did some coordinated riding on a 2010 Yamaha Superjet working with Eric Malone who doubled for the main actor Alex Pettyfer doing a huge back flip off a boat wake. For my trip to Daytona Beach this year I had an extended trip to go up and down the Florida coast to visit all of the east coast watercraft companies and riders. Lucas Vasconcelos drove down to West Palm Beach, FL to pick me up and take me to up to Orlando where he and a bunch of other riders live. He took me to a local lake just 3 minutes from his house where he let me take his 1000cc 55lb Superfreak hull out for a spin. This was my first time really riding a ski with this much power and holy crap was it fun! Thanks Lucas!
Bud Mastrangelo of Bud Productions came to the 2011 Daytona Beach Freeride to film and put a cool video together of all the action.
