My 4th annual trip across the US to Daytona Beach, Florida for the 2012 Thrust Innovations Daytona Beach Freeride. I got to switch gears up a bit on this event and ride some crazy skis at the "Flat Water Friday" event. I claimed 3rd place in the sickest trick contest and was able to meet up with Bobby Howering of Trinity Composites to finalize the details of my new Matrix hull build.

This was my 4th year attending the annual Joe Kenney Pismo Freeride. This freeride is always the weekend after the World Finals in Lake Havasu, AZ. The Idea is that everyone who is now on the west coast will travel the extra few hundred miles to ride some great surf and party on the beach with tons of friends. This freeride was no short of fire jumps and great surf riding.

My first year racing at the World Finals in Lake Havasu, AZ all made possible by KMG Racing. I raced their Stock Class Kawasaki 800SXR stand up in Amateur Ski Lites class. After a rough start in qualifying, I fought my way from LCQ to World Champion. The rest of the week was great getting to see and party with so many friends and meet new fans/supporters. My 3rd year driving over 2000 miles round trip to Pacific City Oregon for this contest. This was the second year competing in the Pro Freeride Class. I won my first heat and was then eliminated in the second round placing 9th. I also signed up for the Pro Motosurf Race Class which I ended up winning on my freeride ski! I also stayed an extra day to have a little crap weather photo shoot with Ludo of FullGaz and some friends. It was yet another great year and cant wait for next year's slam!

At the end of August, just 2 weeks after the Grayland Open. Tanner Thomas and I decided to load up my truck and drive up near Sacramento to the DJSA Race stop "Jet Effect" I raced my Freeride Superjet in the 800 Novice stand up Class and ended up 3rd overall. I also raced the KMG limited Craigslist Wave Blaster in Sport Sit 1100 GP Expert class and got 2nd Overall. It was a super fun experience I definitely will be back next year!

In August the So Cal Freeride crew and I made a gnarly 20 hour road trip up to Grayand, WA for the 2011 Grayland Freeride Amateur Freeride contest. I went to support our amateur riders by announcing the event with fellow pro rider Zack Bright Judging. I got wet and raced in the Pro Motosurf Race and placed 1st then got 2nd in the Sickest trick contest for my big no handed Barrel Roll. This was an awesome event everyone there rocks!

Just weeks after my race in Parker, AZ I drove out to Las Vegas to race the KMG Stock Spec ski, and perform in the freestyle show at the South Point Casino Arena Indoor Jet ski event. This was the coolest pool I have been able to jet ski in since my Adidas commercial job!

I stayed for another week after the event to travel around and meet some great new friends and companies along the Florida coast.

I packed up my gear and drove 15 hours straight by myself to Pacific City, Oregon for my second year at the Blowsion SurfSlam competition. I competed in the Pro Freeride class this year after claiming the Amateur title the last year. It was a tough contest against many great riders. In the end, I ended up coming in 5th Place in the Pro Freeride class.

Thanks to my good friend Pete Zernik. I was able to participate in my first race using his Kawasaki 800SXR to race in Novice Ski Limited Class. It was a great experience, I ended up taking 3rd overall both rounds, as well as a surprise gold trophy for competing and winning in Freestyle round 2.
